Leadership

By Robert Megargel

Most people view things according to how they will be individually affected. Leaders see the larger picture. Leaders consider how each part of the organization will be impacted by specific choices. Instead of putting themselves first, leaders ask themselves, How will this impact the people in my organization?

Regardless of your position in the company, thinking this way sets your team up for success. You’ve probably seen or heard the statement that “Together Everyone Achieves More.” It’s true but only when the team is putting the team first! Unity and selflessness are the key. So consider today the impact you can have on those around you.

No matter what level you operate on, you can lead where you are! We all have influence. Effective leaders question how they can use their influence to solve problems and build momentum for the organization. By considering the needs of others first, you are leading!

When we think of ourselves as leaders, our life becomes more purposeful. Today can be the day that makes a difference.  You can lead from where you are and be the difference. As you do, your influence will grow. It starts by looking beyond yourself and focusing on the needs of others.
