Leadership
If you're someone who is new to the idea of studying leadership, this content is for you. If you're someone who is a seasoned leader, this content is also for you. Here's why (on both counts)... Leadership is about service, and it's hard to serve well when you don't have the right intel (that rhymed! LOL). Here are five little questions that go a really long way with people: 1️⃣ How are you doing? Relationships thrive when people feel as if you are genuinely interested in what is happening in their life. Asks them what’s going on, and then listen. You’d be amazed at how interesting you become to others when they know you are interested in them. 2️⃣ What’s your name? I was once told that the sweetest sound for most people is the sound of their own name. Even if it’s in an introductory conversation, learn someone’s name and say their name before that conversation has concluded. 3️⃣ What can I do to help you? Many people have trouble asking for help, so cultivate the habit of finding out how you can serve the people around you. People may decline your offer, but that shouldn’t deter you from asking. 4️⃣ Will you forgive me? When we have wronged someone, admitting we were wrong is already tough enough. So we settle for saying we’re sorry. Asking someone to forgive you for your mistake let’s them know that you don’t simply assume that they could, should, or would do so. 5️⃣ How can I pray for you? Question #1 often provides the answer here, but this question is a little more personal. People recognize that prayer means you being intentional about interceding for them and lifting them up, even when you’re not together. Remember this above all else... We. Are. All. In. The. People. Business. So let's get become better at learning more about the people around us, so we can add more value. Love you guys. Let's grow. JT Looking for a cool way to connect with more people?
