Leadership
One of the most frustrating aspects of leadership is knowing that no matter what you say or do, you will not be able to please everyone. If you're a true leader, you don't mind being vulnerable enough to admit that on some level, this truth stings. Instead of allowing this emotionally taxing aspect of leadership to weigh you down, shift your focus to being in right standing with people. When this is your goal, people can know that although they may not agree with all of your decisions, they can trust that your decisions are made for the right reasons with the right motivation. In other words, they will be able to tell over time that you have their best interest at heart. When people know you truly do have their best interest at heart, they are more apt to support you and work with you. This happens because they respect you. That's what right standing is all about--being able to show respect regardless of who is right. And every leader wants this to be part of the fabric of the culture in their organization. Love you guys. Let's grow. JT
